10 more days.

Hey!

So everything is moving along nicely and we will have a build ready for you on the 10th:)

The main level creator is working fine now but the cut scene part of the editor still has some wonky behavior. This is mainly because of all the different combinations and scenarios that is available. We are trying to test as many of them as we have time (and imagination) to create but there will be some weird stuff still in there on the 10th for sure. Please have this is mind when you start playing around with it and please report any bugs you find!

Thanks for your time and see you on the 10th :)

Peace // Dennis

    2. And dirty talk on the dialogues. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

  3. That's totally understandable, the cutscene editor seems very complex in comparision to the standard level editor, Will the tutorials be available the 10th too?

  4. can't wait ^^

  6. Wonder-fucking-Full . Just a 2 simple doubts,
    * is it possible to have "Desktop Guys" in levels ? Like in the scene 3, Hard News. Only Killable by a gunshot.
    * Also, is it possible we can make an objective end a level, like in First Trial? Where if you reached the showering mobster the stage was clear and you could walk along thugs you hadnt fighted?

    Thanks !!

    1. No to both, unfortunately :(

  7. Three weird questions:

1 - Will it be possible to use different faces for the characters in the dialog cutscenes? Exemple: Using Pardo's face to represent Jacket talking on a dialog cutscene (I know.. lol)

2 - Can we edit the sprites of the cutscene dialog faces, or any sprites at all? Exemple: Changing Pardo's eye color, to create a Jacket face ( :| )

3 - Will it be possible to use unmasked models of the fans on cutscenes or gameplay? Now that we have their faces for the cutscenes, it would be awesome to use models of them without masks in the field killing bad guys. Kinda like with the model of Alex that we have in the scene 'Dead Ahead', when Pardo visits her house to talk to Ash.

Dennaton, you guys are the best. Best of luck on the Hotline Miami Level Editor release! Eight days!

    2. 3- This is what Dennis said about the fans "i made a walk unarmed and unmasked for all of them"

  8. In the editor, there gonna be prefabs (like a already made room) that could be used on cutscenes (example: already made Jacket's apartment or Evan's house etc.)?

    I already appreciate your answer.

    1. Other people will create and upload them once the level editor comes out, and then you can use them in your own levels.

  9. i have a question will we be able to make levels without needing to do cutscenes ?

    SvaraRadera
  10. I have a question sorta like JohnRDVSMarston up there. My question is based on a feature that i think that if it is in the editor, omg, it will be just impossible, i'll love this thing.

Question: Since we will be able to create entire campaigns, will it be possible for each level, make an intro and an ending sequence (Kinda like for the intro, Jacket in his apartment looking at some notes and receiving a phonecall for the next job, and as an ending sequence, him going to some random bar, having a drink with Beard)?

My god man, if this is included in this editor, i'll fucking lose it. lol

    1. Yes, there's definetely such option, I don't exactly know if all details like notes will be available (but i think yes), but you will probably be able to even recreate HLM1.

      Radera
    2. You won't be able to fully recreate HLM1, but intros and outros should be relatively straight forward!

      Radera
  11. Unfortunately, hype is gone

  12. Can all the masks be used for cutscene dialogue? And can masks be put on enemies for a cosmetic effect? Say for example someone made a campaign where you kill furries.

    SvaraRadera
    Svar
    1. No masked enemies, sorry. I think the masks are all available for dialogue though, if not it will be easy to add in an update.

  13. Is the hidden character is the Miami Mutilator ?

    SvaraRadera
    Svar
    1. That's a joke, right? The miami mutilator is The Handsome detective: Manny Pardo.

      Radera
  14. How much are we looking at buying the map maker for?

    SvaraRadera
  15. Will biker still have the three finisher animations he had in the first game? Just wonderin.

    SvaraRadera
    Svar
    1. Looking at his sprite sheet in the HLM WAD Explorer, it looks like he can only do the throat-slitting one. I'm glad that this is the case - having multiple executions for the same weapon was confusing in the first game.

      Radera
  16. -Can I put unarmed enemies? (that grab a weapon when they see one)
    Sorry for bad english, though.
